Basically, I'm a super big eater. And so, I'm here to share my experiences of having great food but not necessarily expensive food =) Today, it is about Tim Ho Wan at The Gardens. This is not a great experience as I visited this shop when it opened for a few weeks of course not today.
My mum and I have ordered a few dishes. of course the famous Po Loh Cha Siew Pau is one of it. To me, it is too sweet as the crispy Poh Loh part is already sweet and when it goes together with the Char Siew filling, it is definitely too much. And the so call Char Siew is sliced pork belly dipped in the sauce only, it is not cooked and roasted like the others.

Then we also ordered this Chives and Prawn Dumplings. They put in a gigantic prawn in each of the dumpling which is pretty awesome. and the dumpling is generously filled with chives. This I would say yums =)

Then we had this must order dish when it comes to Dim Sum session. The Siew Mai. I don't really like the weird smell and taste from the pork actually. That's why I don't really eat pork. This 1 is definitely what I'm saying. The Siew Mai has that kind of taste. I only tried one and left the others for my mum. Sorry...

This is my mum favourite. She said she missed it when she went to HK. So she came to try this but this doesn't impress her. The pork liver is thickly sliced thus the inside of the liver is still raw and 'bleeding'. omg... and the Cheong Fun is thick and doesn't really has that rice aromatic flavour. so we decided to leave this dish miserably.

Overall the food is not very our type. But with the long long queue, I guess a lot of people still likes it or maybe they just wanna give it a try. Me personally will not come back again. So sorry.
