Crema Crema Cafe, PJ State

It's a new cafe in PJ State that worth your try. The location is strategic, you can easily notice it from the roundabout, staff are friendly and most importantly, THE FOOD IS NICE! I really recommend this cafe because the food is real nice. REAL NICE.

Let's start with the drinks, what I ordered is Raspberry Lemonande, Passion Fruit Lemonade and Cappucino.

Lemonade and Cappucino

Actually when I got my lemonade, I wasn't quite happy with the flavoured syrup added in. I was thinking why they so stingy? The syrup very expensive meh? But when I take a sip, hello... Just nice ok?  Hahaha... So we are not suppose to judge the food by merely its look. The cappucino smells real good, you will really wake up when they start brewing the coffee. No wonder they open at 8am, those that work nearby will really want a nice warm cup of coffee in the morning.

Iced Mocha
After trying the Cappucino, my brother decided to try on his favourite Mocha and this time he ordered iced to try on their thickness and yes, it's kaw kaw ;) However, if you're sugar hunter, the coffee will be not so satisfied. You can also ask for syrup or sugar though.

Now we start with the food, their food portion is quite small actually but it's reasonable with that price. You can try more different food and share it with friends. Yes, bonding time. Put your Pokemon aside.

Waffle Chicken Burger
The patty they made it themselves, it's seasoned with pepper and spices. The patty is thick and so I think that's why it's so juicy inside. The cheese on top is just nice to go with the patty. One bite and you're in love. The waffle is actually white bread spreaded with butter and toast in a waffle maker. hahaha... LIAR.
Chicken Bolognese
It tasted like it was cooked with Prego. So I'm not giving high marks on this. It taste normal but the spaghetti is cooked just nice, al dente. I like the texture though.

Chicken Chop with Mushroom Sauce
It's grilled chicken thigh so it's quite tender and juicy inside. Small portion but enough for ladies. They served it with mashed potato. The sauce is fine, not bad but after the other surprise actually I do expect more from this chicken chop. Also, the salad at the side is sauceless, just raw vege.

Casear Salad
The salad is nice, the chicken on top is chicken breast, perfectly grilled. Served with casear salad sauce, the sauce looks little but it's just nice to finish that plate of salad. They don't served it with toasted bread like usual so if you like the crunchy crunchy bread cubes, it's not what you would like to order in this cafe.

Fish & Chips
The fish is not like the others you had before. At first I thought it is thickly warpped with the batter and the fish is only a sad small little piece inside but it's not. The batter is just nice, not too thick not too thin and the fish doesn't have the fishy smell which means it's not frozen years fish.

Carbonara
This carbonara is the real kind of carbonara. It's not only cooked with heavy cream but with the eye yolk in it. This is just like what you'll have in Italy. The one I ordered is with only mushrooms, they do have beef bacon and chicken ham too if not mistaken.

Bangers and Mash
This is really not what we will get when we order banger and mash in other restaurant. It's sliced sausages cooked with onion and their signature coffee sauce that gives a little bitterness. It's special and it's nice. So who cares if it's sliced sausages or whole footlong sausage. I supposed their coffee sauce is coffee with mayonnaise, I do smell coffee and taste mayonnaise. =P If I'm right then I guess I have a genius taste bud. hahhaa..XD

Baked Chicken Breast with Tomato Cream Sauce
The chicken breast is not hard and dry. It's still juicy inside. I like chicken breast cause I don't have to fight with the bones but I hate dry chicken meat. This is nice especially the little sourness in the sauce. There's mashed potato under the chicken as well, the portion is just enough for me.

After main courses how can we forget desserts? The two cakes that I'm going to recommend now is a must try! MUST TRY!!! No jokes.

Brownies with Vanilla Ice Cream
This is not the kind of hard and crunchy on top brownies that you get at other places. It's soft and moist. It's more like Malay's Moist Chocolate Cake. But it's really chocolatey. If you like chocolate a lot, must try! Once tried you'll love and never forget the taste. There's some crumble on top on the ice cream, the ice cream is really normal or I should say, not worth paying attention. Haha... I'm not bad, it's just that the brownies is too nice. Really. Must try!

Blondies with Vanilla Ice Cream
I did wonder what is blondies since they have brownies, I expect white chocolate cake but it tastes like moist fruit cake. There are dried cherries at the bottom then the butter cake taste but moist cake texture. This is real nice too. It's really fattening though, I must say. When it's served, the cake is hot inside like it's freshly baked. When you cut on the cake you can see the oil coming out from the cake but it taste real nice! Ignore the fat. Really.

Overall I wanna say this is a really nice cafe for chit chat and the food is nice too with reasonable price. I have already visited twice and I'm still not dissapointed. They will have official opening in September, so why not pay a visit?

Fluffed Cafe & Dessert Bar, Taman Paramount

I passby this shop one day and saw it under renovation. Thus, I decided to give it a try when it opens as it is also near my house. It is a small shop with limted seats. When it soft lauched at that time, I went to try it and it's awesome. It's like a great competitor to Owl's Cafe but not so many choices offered so maybe that's the weakness it has.

Anyway, it's time for desserts!! Ladies, please get your fork and knife ready =)
Hot Chocolate with Pooh Bear's Favourite
You have to be a little patient after ordering cause they make upon order so that the waffle is always hot and fluffy and crispy. It worth waiting for. My first try is the Pooh Bear's Favourite and I was amazed by the Hokey Pokey ice cream and the honeycomb. The ice cream is so creamy and the flavour is so rich. The honeycomb is so crispy and not to forget the main character here, the waffle. The waffle is really crispy at the outside but fluffy inside. Look at how the present the food. Delightful.

Big Grey Wolf
The second visit we ordered more. The Big Grey Wolf is special with the charcoal waffle. The earl grey ice cream is so Teh Tarik. hahahah..XD sorry. I'm anak Malaysia. It's a compliment of course. Who in Malaysia doesn't like teh tarik?

Alice In Wonderland
Hoping to meet Alice in the waffle? Try this. The lavender blueberry ice cream is special. I mean.. special. So I don't think everyone can accept the taste. At least not me. The taste is too 'fake' to me. hahaha..XD

The Monkey King
Chocolate always go best with banana! If you like both of them like me, order The Monkey King. Nothing really special about this but sometimes, normal thing taste the great. The banana is topped with crispy caramel though. So it would be crunchy at the outside but real banana inside.

Fluffed Cake
I don't remember the name of this cake but I remember they told me this is how they got their name 'Fluffed' but I'm not impressed by the cake. It's ok. Or maybe a little less than ok. Hmm... I don't like this anyway. Just not my slice of cake.

Bofe Eatery, SS2

When you're driving from Jalan University and turn right after the traffic light to ss2, you'll notice a shop name Bofe at your left near Mungo Jelly and Perodua shop. The shop is a very cozy place to rest your mind and take a sip of coffee. I went there a few times.

Look at the environment. you can choose to sit at the sofa area so that you can really relax during a weekend morning.

They serve limited choices of breakfast or so call brunch. I was there the first time with my brother and we ordered a super value meal. A breakfast set for 2 with juices, freshly squeezed juices.

BIG Breakfast

Starter
Yes! you're right. This is a set for 2! The muesli and bread come with the set as starter. And of course the big breakfast. If you're wondering is it too little for 2 person, give it a try. It's actually more than enough. The set comes with 2 glasses of orange juice.

Then I had my dinner here as well, twice. But there's a day unfortunately, I didn't know they have personal party going on in the shop, so that I have to sit at the corner but still enjoying my meal.

Soft Shell Crab Spaghetti
The sauce is actually salted egg. Just nice to go with the crispy soft shell crab. A little like japanese style or something.

Chocolate Cake
This is actually my dessert after meal. I wanna try their chocolate cake as I believe if a shop serve nice chocolate cake, the other cakes won't go bad.

Soft Shell Crab Burger
I tried this another day. The fries is so orangey is because it's sweet potato fries. More healthy comparing to normal fries. *trying to hypnotize myself it's healthy fried food. The shrimp is fresh, together with the soft shell crab, perfect seafood combination.

Piccolo Latte
Nothing much about the coffee here actually. Hmm...

Duck Breast
I don't remember the name of this dish but it's duck breast for sure. The mash potato is nice, really creamy. The duck breast is very tender but I don't really like this texture. It's like I'm eating mashmallow instead of meat. But the taste is actually fine.

Open Burger
Open burger is their signature I think. The patty is juicy and the portion is just nice for a guy because it's actually quite a big meat patty under the sausage. Personally, I like this.

Cappucino
Conclusion, the environment is good, food is fine and it's worthy the price. I think the price is more affordable compare to some other cafe. The good thing is, there's always parking available during weekends. =)

Chung Gong, Ampang

I'm a big fan of korean food. Kimchi, bibimbap, jjangmyeon and whatever jigae =9. You name it I eat it. haha..XD

It's like a must for korean food lover to try out the korean cuisine in Ampang Korean Vilage because it's the most authentic taste that you can get in Malaysia. So this time I try Chung Gong. I have read out some of the reviews and blogs before going of course and I found a lot of LIKES for this restaurant.

First, I have to be honestly telling, this restaurant doesn't seem to be too clean. It has that cockroaches or some kind of weird smell that you can smell it when you climbing up the stairs. So I thought it's a No-No for this restaurant. I still decided to give it a try because I'm really craving for nice jjangmyeon during that time.

The shop wasn't crowded at all when I entered but the sweet greet from the lady boss is defintely a yes to me. Anyway, I sat down and started looking at the menu. They don't service bibimbap or kimchi jigae here because they are chinese korean food restaurant. So do expect something like jjampong, tang su yuk and jjangbap.

So we ordered some signature dishes where you can see in korean drama.

Jjampong
I saw the korean aunty sitting beside the counter eating jjampong and it defintely looks attractive with the red soup. =9 I like spicyyyyyyyyy. So I ordered this. It's like... seafood spicy pan mee. hahah..XD but I like the noodles. Just nice, Al dente =) The soup is actually not so... my taste. But you can always add vinegar and chili powder into the soup.

Jjangmyeon
The jjangmyeon is niceeee. I really like the black bean paste. The best I have ever tried. You can finish the last drop of sauce with the yellow pickled radish. Just like what the korean did in the drama.

Szechuan jjangmyeon
This is the spicy version of the jjgangmyeon but without any black bean paste. If you like spicy and you don't like the original jjgangmyeon, give this a try.

Tang Su Yuk
Never miss this tang su yuk!!!! The batter is crispy but the meat is still tender inside. Going with the sauce, heaven. Really nice. NO LIES. Eat together with the cucumber and red cabbage in the dipping sauce, the cucumber is like a pickle actually. By the way, when i say dipping sauce, I don't mean dipping the meat in the sauce, I mean throw the whole fried meat in the sauce roll and roll the meat until it's fully covered with sauce. Finger licking good.

Fried Mandu
Last but not least, fried mandu. This is really cheap. It's like RM15 per plate. With that size, no complain but only like =) The filling is nice also. The waiter will prepare the dipping sauce for you on the spot by mixing vinegar with chili powder. Eat with the sauce or just the mandu. It's nice in both ways.

Conclusion is the food is worthy the price and taste real nice but the restaurant hygience really need a little improvement.

Chimi Churri, Jaya One

Ok. So that now I started working, I don't really have time to update the blog but here I am to introduce to you Chimi Churri. It's crowded with people during lunch hour so please be ready to not bring your hungry stomach here cause you might have to queue for awhile.

I don't fancy vege at all. Come on guys, who will feel like eating a big bowl of greens and only greens. However, Chimi Churri changed my mind about salad. Salad doesn't have to always be tasteless and green. The 1st day I came in just to try my luck and see if I will be full and satisfied as I'm a very big eater especially my lunch. So basically it's somethign like Subway but more choice with the fillings and 'display mode'. You can choose wrap, salad bowl, sandwich or brown rice bowl with the choice of different meat or just vege. They have variety choices of sauce and I really recommend sweet sesame! unless you're allergic to it, if not this is a really nice and refreshing sauce to be added in. If you like spicy, they have a few choices of sauce that is spicy, some they added samabl into it but I never try it before as I feel like 'hey, this is western food.' Hahaha... Also, the mashed sweet potato and peas are like a signature also. so creamy =9 I always go for the wrap as I don't really like to see all greens in my bowl.

So this is how the filing of the wrap looks like. Full of meat, sauce and vege of course. The wrap is the size of your arm!!! not the skinny one okay? The slighty chubby 1 =) So if you're nt full after eating, I don't know what to say. 1 small tip from me, the guy wrapping the wrap really wrap it so nicely and it's actually quite difficult for them to wrap because the ingredient they put in is generous. So, tear off the aluminium foil layer by layer so that you are really eating wrap not vege and roti canai. Their hardwork is paid off if you eat it as a wrap. =)

Chicken Wrap

This is the salad bowl. Just ask for whatever vege you like. They are never too stingy to fulfill your appetite. The soup is actually free but the promotion ends in 15 May 2016. So please don't get angry when you found out no more free soup. The bowl is with couscous and I found it taste like... nasi briyani. hahaha...XD so choose wisely if you don't like it.

Dory Fish Salad Bowl
Basically they are really healthy and nice. They have breakfast menu in the morning until 11am, price starting from RM6.90. For the normal menu, it starts from RM9.90 which I found it quite affordable actually. The dining place is cosy. You can always bring your laptop with you cause they provide free WiFi.

Terengganu Food Eater Part 4

Then this is about something else other than local food.

This is Yes Corner. A restaurant hiding beside the road. This is really difficult to find. But if you see Asia Signature, it is just at the another end of the shop. Not a very nice japanese food served but then.. what else do you expect when you're here. We do appreciate our food. hahaa..XD not much choice.

So, here we go! SUSHI and WASABI!!!!! =9 actually it wasn't that bad. The tempura soft shell crab is nice though. The rice served is garlic rice, not white rice.

Soft Shell Crab Don
This is tempura prawn rice. The prawn is gigantic =P 3 prawns in 1 don, not bad portion.

Tempura Prawn Don
This is salmon nigiri, the salmon is slightly roasted not too raw. suitable for those who don't dare to try raw fish.

Salmon Nigiri
This is Teriyaki Chicken Skewer. The meat is a bit dry actually. not very nice. I prefer juicy meat.

Teriyaki Chicken Skewer

Then we ordered some sushi too. they put quite a lot of toppings so it's quite worthy though the price is quite high.

Then this is a restaurant near my rented house at Taman Bestari. The middle shop. I dont remember the shop name  though. They serve what we so call masakan panas which means hot wok food at first. Later then they started this cheap package of food for  only RM5!!!  Imagining having a giant fried chicken fillet burger and chicken chop for only RM5 each. The portion is definitely big enough and worth the price. They have the beef burger as well. Never got the chance to try before leaving as the shop is quite new.

So this is the chicken burger mentioned above. The chicken is thickly covered with the frying dough thus the portion looks big. You can never stuff this into your mouth in whole. As the other Ramly burger stall, they like to put a lot of sauce, chili sauce, black pepper sauce and mayonnaise to make it rich in taste.

Chicken Burger
This is the chicken chop. They serve with coleslaw and baked beans. The sauce is black pepper sauce. In Terengganu, they like to serve their chops with black pepper sauce, if you didn't mention that you would like to have other sauce, they will give you black pepper sauce.

Chicken Chop
Overall, the food is quite nice and is cheap. The owner of the shop is friendly too. We used to chat when they are free.

Terengganu Food Eater Part 3

What about a sip of coffee today? Introducing to you the 'starbucks' in Kuala Terengganu, Star Anise. They serve aromatic coffee with nice coffee art =) i LIKE that place a lot.

Look at the thickness of the foam... If you're that kind of person who can't sleep after coffee, you can try this. the coffee is nice in smell but not too strong. really nice. Both of the coffee we ordered is Mocha.. They serve cakes and some snacks too. But we are too full after dinner. So we just came here to chit chat and enjoy the coffee. Most of the time the shop is full of people, so if you really would like to try the coffee, you need to queue. You know.. good things worth your time. =)

Then, how can we miss the famous small bun from Terengganu. I was kind of shocked when I saw a stall in KL selling the small bun. My mum asked me if I have heard of it and I have no idea what is it. So I got back to Terengganu after my sem break and start searching for it. and uh-huh! I found it. Actually quite a lot of shop in chinatown is selling this. I just didn't notice it. =P cause it seems like a normal bread to me.

This is from the most famous one. I tried and I was amazed! The bread is so soft and crispy after toasted and the kaya is just nice, not too sweet.

Small Bun
It is a small shop near Chi Tze. The tauge neu is a friendly person. She talked to us while cleaning her stall to close. ok.. we got up quite late that's why we ate while they are cleaning their stall. =P This is a must try I would say. I have tried other shops but not as nice as this. This is a small kopitiam so it's kind of dirty but still acceptable. They serve other food too but... so so lo. haha..XD
